2055: Great stuff by City - Shaun Wright-Phillips slides a useful ball into the path of Stephen Ireland but it is a fraction too long and Frank Rost is able to come out and collect.
2052: Ivica Olic is certainly having a game to remember - he has just made a couple more rampaging runs down the left and it takes the combined efforts of Richard Dunne and Micah Richards to stop him. City need to try to keep hold of the ball - they are not doing that enough at the moment. Olic will be at Bayern Munich next season by the way, he has already signed a pre-contractact agreement with Jurgen Klinsmann's side.
2048: Some fancy footwork by Robinho in the corner. Colin Benjamin patiently watches while the Brazilian does a series of step-overs, then almost effortlessly dispossesses him. Apart from in the first minute, Robinho has not exactly shone tonight.
2046: Normal service is quickly resumed - Piotr Trochowski sends a shot fizzing over the bar after 55 seconds of the second period. A bit dull this!
2045: Javier Garrido is on for Wayne Bridge at left-back for the visitors - Bridge did not look fully fit to be honest. Manchester City get us back under way...hold on to your hats.

2028: Yet another chance for Hamburg and Ivica Olic comes extremely close to scoring with a spectacular overhead kick. To City's relief it flies over.
2026: That man Shay Given rescues Manchester City again. Ivica Olic does brilliantly to get past Micah Richards on the left and the ball comes to Piotr Trochowski who fires in a shot that bounces wide off the goalkeeper's legs.
2024: One sign of a good game is you don't notice the referee. The man in the middle here, Olegario Benquerenca, finally gets involved after 40 minutes when he books Piotr Trochowski for an aggressive aerial challenge on Richard Dunne.
2022: Another good move by Hamburg but when Ivica Olic pulls the ball back across goal none of his team-mates are anywhere near it, or even inside the penalty area. Olic's expression says it all - he is not a happy chap.

Got to agree - it is an adventurous approach by Hughes. It is always worth watching Danny Sturridge, and the fitness of Stephen Ireland and Wayne Bridge is a huge boost for City.
1930: City's away form in the Premier League is not bad - it's terrible. But in Europe, it has (mostly) been a different story. OK, drawing three Danish teams along the way has helped but City's form in the group stages was pretty impressive. They have already won in Germany this season too, beating Schalke back in November.
